The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who want to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however it's something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places.  robot vacuum best  can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

The device is costly, but has many smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. This includes the power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with a mix of floors.  robot vacuum cleaner best  is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On  robot vacuums best  is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
